I took my KIA to Canadian Tire for a small oil leak. I was charged for a new plug for the oil pan. A few months later (because I didn't use that car often in winter) I noticed a huge oil puddle in the parking lot. I took the car to Penzoil instead to get a second opinion. They said that the "thing" inside my oil pan wasn't a plug at all, it was a bolt for another part for GM vehicles! They also noticed two of my tires were on backwards. I went back to Canadian tire and explained what had happened, they yelled at me, said that "what did I know about cars" and told me that the people at Penzoil don't know anything about cars. They showed me paperwork on my bill saying that they had ordered a new oil pan plug from the local KIA dealership and then told me to get out of the store and that they wouldn't talk to me again and I should just try to sue them.
I went to KIA that same day and they looked at the car and told me that, yes, that was not an oil pan plug (it was held in place jammed in the oil tank with 6 washers to hold it in place) AND they confirmed that No order had been made for a plug at Canadian Tire at all. Canadian Tire had stripped the plug hole on my oil pan beyond repair and it cost me 250 dollars to replace the oil pan.

I had the same experience with Canadian Tire. A scheduled oil change was done, I ran a few miles after the oil change then after I saw the oil gauge light was on.. As soon as I stopped in my garage I checked my oil level and it was dry. After checking under the hood the plug for oil drain was not there... What are they doing collecting plugs for oil pan... just use your imagination.
I will not get any work done at Canadian Tire since being burned for $700.00 worth of work (new parts) that were never installed. As well my friend had two oil changes done and both oil plugs were only finger tight and leaking.
Don't ever get your vehicle repaired at Canadian Tire, not a bad place to purchase camping gear...as for anything else, including tools...RUN
